Bell-End Cheddar

Caveman Restaurant,
Cheddar Gorge, Somerset.
Architect Geoffrey Jellicoe, 1934

There were two dining areas, the lower of which had a glass roof above which goldfish swam in a shallow pool. This was later removed during redevelopment as the age of civilised British modernism slipped into neglect and decay.

Just a brief glimpse of the title of this post made me spill beer down my front.
