Sam Smith: Genuine England

Sam Smith: Genuine England (1976)

Toymaker? Outsider artist? Lovable Eccentric? Nutcase? Sam Smith's marvellous work goes way beyond any of these descriptions, his surreal creations defy categorisation. He is in short a special kind of genius that the British Isles is well endowed with, but which we're usually too modest or ashamed to talk about. Synth doodlings courtesy of fellow oddball Ron Geesin only add to the the joy.

  1. I love how he's his own narrator, and the soundtrack is amazing indeed!

  2. Wonderful stuff! Love the last line of the narration...
